Whether you are a new Mum, or you are working long hours at an office, it’s difficult to find the time to get along to the gym or to a group exercise class. You want to exercise but the timetable just doesn’t suit you!
Or perhaps money is a bit tight, and can’t afford the expensive gym fees.
In this post I will look at some of the benefits of working out at home, with an online personal trainer. These types of online workouts have grown in popularity in recent years, due to their convenience. So let's have a look at why they are so popular!
The biggest advantage of online personal training is the flexibility. You will have access to the online exercise programs 24/7, which means that you can workout at a time that suits your schedule. You can do your online workouts at home, or at the office on your lunch break.
Before you start, you can simply purchase a mat, some dumbbells or as directed by the trainer, and you should be ready to go!
The cost of a face to face session with a personal trainer can be quite expensive. And often the cost of the online monthly membership is cheaper for an entire month, than one session with a personal trainer, face to face.
So if you really want to exercise and can't afford a gym membership or a personal trainer as this point in time, an online workout program may be just what you need.
With most online programs, members will have access to their trainer. This might be via a Facebook group, email, text or Instagram. This means that if the client has any concerns with technique or how to do certain exercises they can reach out and seek advice.
It’s important to find a program that is interactive and you can access the personal trainer in the video easily. As you always want to ensure you are performing each exercise accurately and safely.
You can do both
Another point to note is that an online workout program can be done in conjunction with some face to face sessions. So for example, if you train with a personal trainer on a weekly basis and can only afford one session per week, they may also offer an online workout program too.
Which means you could invest in doing both face to face and online personal training programs. This is a great way to get the face to face interaction and education and compliment it with further workouts at home, at a time that suits you.
